Helpful honeywell air humidifier Reviews And More
This filter(from honeywell) still shed lots of carbon (black) particulate, especially when you have to cut to trim to size. These are very fine dust particles. Some of which i am sure clogged the HEPA.
I dont believed previous report that said the Honeywell brand of pre-filter dont shed.

Is it harmful to run the humdifier when heater is off temporarily?
I installed a Honeywell humidifer to my honeywell air humidifier forced air system. Of course, my programmable thermostat runs the heating system only intermittently. During the brief periods that the heater is off, is the continuously running humidifier causing any harm?
